The Defeated follows Max who takes up a job in 1946 Berlin to help set up the police department in the chaotic aftermath of the war.
Max hails from Brooklyn and is a third generation NYPD cop. Denied an entry into the war, he laps op the opportunity to go to Berlin in post-war ops. But that is not the only thing driving him. Max is also trying to find his missing brother Moritz. Moritz was last seen in berlin and Max hopes to uncover some clues to his disappearance.
Officially, Max’s target is the rising crime lord who is taking roots in the city. But unbeknownst to him, the American Vice Consul is using Max to gather intelligence and stop Russia from making any inroads.
Helping Max is rookie Elsie, torn apart by war, rape and back-breaking work of street cleaners. Recent joinee, Elsie is street smart and full of dark humor.
Will Max find out the truth about his brother Moritz, who is hiding in the Berlin shadows, waiting patiently for his next kill.
