The Upshaws follows Bennie Upshaw and his colorful family members who make his life both miserable and happy at the same time.
Bennie Upshaw is the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis. The charming, well-intentioned mechanic however is in a lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family — wife Regina, their two young daughters and firstborn son, the teenage son he fathered with another woman. If that is not enough hew must tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law to top it all off.
He does that all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together.
