How I Met Your Murderer movie follows Mack, a crime show pod caster, finds a link between an old murder and her husband and must now get to the bottom of it.
Mack Meyer is a wildly successful podcaster whose show ‘How I Met Your Murderer’ is a fan favorite. She has a huge fan base that follows her every word and also helps he with information. While preparing for a new episode, she digs up an old case and realizes that that the victim, Lily, had a connection with her husband.
On digging further, she finds out that the two were high school sweethearts, and could have more to it than was found out then. She enlists help of her new neighbor Oliver and her series producer June to investigate the events around the murder further.
She soon finds out that Lily’s murder was not an isolated case and connects to other murders at the time. As the evidence gets clearer, Mack believes that her husband might be involved in other cases too and is a serial killer.
