The series is set in the 90s and unfolds over three summer in ’93, ’94, and ’95. In a small Texas town, Kate is the queen bee and the most popular girl. But then she is abducted and is gone without a trace.
In a seemingly unrelated development, the most awkward and invisible girl, Jeanette, in the crowd soon becomes popular and looks poised to take Kates’ place. But come the summer of ’95, Jeanette is once again in the eye of the storm and is soon to become the most despised person in America.
What did she do? Was what she did justified? As we see each episode in the alternating point of views of these two girls, it is for you to decide who was right and who was in the wrong.
