Netflix brings another exciting YA family series with Zero Chill premiering later this month. The series is set in a sporting world and is a coming-of-age story of two teen siblings. But here we have two passionate and high achieving sports persons who must battle the usual distractions of teenage life and also be mature enough to handle the pressures of rising expectations.
What is Zero Chill Netflix Series About?
Zero Chill series follows twins Kayla and Mac as they chart their own way in the high profile sports arena.
Mac is a formidable young ice hockey player who leaves Canada with his family to attend the famous Sheffield based Hammarström Ice Hockey Academy.
An out-and-out nice guy, he struggles with the expectations his talent places on his shoulders and with achieving a balance between building his sporting career and enjoying an ordinary teenager’s life. He is close to his twin sister, Kayla and feels some guilt that her dreams and ambitions
have been upended in favour of his own.
Kayla, his twin sister, is Dynamic, determined, funny and optimistic. She is also vulnerable and when the going gets tough she seeks solace on the ice. With her own life and dreams superseded by her brother’s she must work out how to adjust to her new reality.
Although she shares an unbreakable sibling bond with her twin Mac, she is distraught at her parents’ decision to put his ambitions before her own. She must find her own place on the ice again in the shadow of her superstar
sibling.
The series is promises to take you to a world where the joys and woes of young adulthood are magnified by a passion for your sport, a determination to master the ice, a will to win and to be the best.

Dakota Benjamin Taylor plays Mac with Grace Beedie as Kayla, Jade Ma as Sky and Doug Rao as Luke MacBentley as the twins’ father. The series with ten 30 min episodes.
