HBO Max Picks Marissa Meyer’s Book For Series

Continuing on the trend to bring bestselling book to series on movies, HBO Max will develop a new comedy series for its viewers.

The new series, named, Instant Karma, like the novel, follows a judgemental and overachiever Prudence Barnett.

She loathes the lazy, rude characters of her coastal town and is frustrated by their behavior. But hey! What can you do? Right!

Here’s the twist. Her dreams of karmic justice are fulfilled when, after a night out with her friends, she wakes up with the sudden ability to cast instant karma on those around her.

You can only guess what Prudence will do now that she can she can make the vandals, and all those she detests.

There’s a catch though. her power doesn’t work on her lazy partner Quint.
