Cherry movie follows Cherry as he struggles to find a universal human connection and his true purpose in life.
Cherry from Ohio is a disenfranchised young man who finds his true love Emily, but then loses all through a series of bad decisions.
We meet him as an unhinged young man who drops out of school, joins the Army and goes on to become a medic. The only thing rooted in his life is his love for Emily.
But on his return from the war, an undiagnosed PTSD makes their life more tumultuous than ever before. He spirals into drug addiction, falls in bad company, robs a bank to fuel his addiction and loses Emily in the process.
But even as Cherry stumbles through life, his true quest still eludes him.
