My Mum Tracy Beaker premieres this February on CBBC as the everyone’s favorite Tracy Beaker returns to TV in a new role. The first series was released in 2002 and returned ten years later in 2012. Now after nearly another decade the 30 year old book character is back on TV to give you another entertaining series.
What is My Mum Tracy Beaker About?
My Mum Tracy Beaker follows Tracy from the eyes of her daughter after Tracy’s rich new boyfriend enters their lives.
The series begins with Tracy and her daughter Jess struggling to scrape by financially. But despite their meagre life, their love for each other is stronger than ever. Tracy has missed the bod she shares with her daughter in her life when she was little.
Tracy Beaker is the same fierce, funny, impetuous force of nature she always was, but her energy is now focused on her beloved daughter Jess. The years haven’t exactly mellowed Tracy, but the twin stabilising forces of her adoptive mother Cam and her own daughter have made her just a little bit kinder. Tracy will do anything for those she cares about, she’s very protective of Jess and puts Jess’ happiness first at all times.
Later on, their lives drastically changes when Tracy meets Sean Godfrey, Tracy rich new boyfriend. Sean has always had a soft spot for Tracy when they were young. But, Sean aka Football, was too busy with his career, no prize to guess what.
Now retired, Sean wants to whisk away Tracy and Jess to a world of unimagined riches, palatial houses, and fancy cars.
But unlike Tracy, Jess has never needed to be tough in order to survive, as she’s always had her mother to protect her. Although sweet Jess may sometimes come across as a quiet bookworm, she’s still a Beaker at heart and has a determination to do the right thing. Her Achilles heel is her relationship with her mum, she can’t stand the thought of anyone coming between her and Tracy.
But when everything starts to go classically Tracy Beaker pear-shaped, can Jess save the day?

The series stars Dani Harmer as Tracy Beaker, Emma Maggie Davis as Jess, and Jordan Duvigneau as Sean. The limited series comes with 3 episodes of 30 minutes each and premieres on February 12 2021.
