‘Words on Bathroom Walls follows Adam as he grapples with his diagnosis and struggles to adjust to the new reality.
Misdiagnosed with a variety of illnesses, quick-witted high school student Adam finally learns why he’s been experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations: He suffers from a mental illness.
After a psychotic episode in chemistry class, Adam is expelled in the middle of his senior year, jeopardizing his goal of attending culinary college in the fall.
But with the help of an experimental new drug and the support of his loving mother Beth, Adam enrolls in a nearby Catholic school to finish out the term and earn his diploma.
Here, when he meets outspoken and fiercely intelligent Maya, there is an
instant soulful and comforting connection. As their romance deepens, she inspires him to open his heart and not be defined by his condition.
Adam must now make a difficult choice: run from his fears and surrender to his incurable illness, or admit his flaws and reveal his true self to the people who love him.
