The Innocence Files Docuseries on Netflix takes us into the lives of eight people as we look at how their lives changed because of events beyond their control. Our justice system firmly believes that no innocent man should be punished. Yet, it is flawed in many ways and lets some slip through the fingers and into the abyss.
What is The Innocence File About?
‘The Innocence Files’ is a docuseries about eight people who were wrongfully convicted and punished for someone else’s crimes.
The series is composed of three compelling parts – The Evidence, The Witness and The Prosecution. These stories expose difficult truths about the state of America’s deeply flawed criminal justice system.
It also makes us realize that when the innocent are convicted, it is not just one life that is irreparably damaged forever: families, victims of crime and trust in the system are also broken in the process.
