‘Home Before Dark’ follows Hilde as she returns with her father to his home town and begins investigating an old crime that upsets many.
The crime is set years earlier when her father, now a journalist, is embroiled in a heart-wrenching crime. His young friend is abducted in front of his eyes on a lonely road and disappears with out a trace. All leads end up in a dead end, but the town never forgives Hilde’s father.
Hilde is unsettled by her father’s legacy and decides to take upon herself to get to the bottom of the crime. Although no one in the law enforcement and the town takes her seriously, she begins to unearth evidence that puts many in a tight spot.
Her dogged pursuit of the truth leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury.
