‘I am Not Okay With This’ follows Sydney and her best friend Stanley as they chart their way through the complexities of being a teenager.
Set in the uncertain timeline around the 90s, the series is an irreverent origin story that follows a teenage girl who’s navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, all while dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality, and mysterious superpowers just beginning to awaken deep within her.

The series comes across as a combination of many different influences with a touch of everything. So die-hard superhero fans will not be much enthusiastic with the trajectory this one takes. Take this series up if you are keen to watch a coming-of-age YA a drama with a female protagonist who is not afraid to express and show her true self.
