The justice system design by humans all over the world is flawed. There is no doubt about it. It is flawed because it is driven and presided upon people who have biases and emotions, not matter how much they try to stay aloof. The Confession Killer series on Netflix is about the man who confessed to hundreds of murders in the 80s US. But although when evidence stated otherwise, all involved continued to believe him because they all simple wanted a closure.

When a Virginia-born convict named Henry Lee Lucas began claiming responsibility for hundreds of murders, the criminal justice system sprang into action.
An innovative task force was assembled in Texas to coordinate interviews between the celebrity prisoner and countless police departments with unsolved cases. The detail operated out of Sheriff Jim Boutwell’s Georgetown jail, where Lucas was being held. Boutwell had long suspected that a local serial killer was at large, and confirmation bias is part of human nature.
The Texas Rangers leading the task force idolized Boutwell, and as Lucas shared compelling accounts of deadly encounters, the group accepted them as the truth. Even without physical evidence linking him to the scenes. Even if documents or witnesses placed him in another timezone during an attack.
The law enforcers were determined to deliver answers and accountability for every crime; Boutwell and the Rangers happened to receive national publicity as a result. Families slept more soundly when told their daughter or son’s killer was behind bars.
With DNA testing, scientists have already identified 20 of the actual killers in cases once attributed to Lucas. As DNA results contradict his confessions, will they expose the biggest criminal justice hoax in U.S. history?
