Same Time, Next Christmas plot revolves around Olivia Anderson, a successful young woman who is planning a vacation to Hawaii to celebrate her childhood memories.
But when she returns to her favorite resort, her memories are not the only thing she is revisiting. Years earlier, Olivia fell for a boy on the island and had a very deep romantic connection.
Now years have passed and the distance and time have made her all but forget about her childhood sweetheart. When the two come face-to-face again at the same place, old memories come flooding and both are surprised that their feelings for each other are just as strong.
Old wounds open up and the two once again fall into a whirlwind romance. But fate has something else planned. Even as old chemistry flares up anew, circumstances conspire to keep them apart.
Can the two persist through the hurdles this time or will fate once again separate them?
