This 90s classic set in Los Angles, CA, is a romance between an escort Vivian Ward and a wealthy businessman Edward Lewis, who hires her frequently to accompany him to parties and social events.

The movie is one of the most popular romantic comedies of all time. Julia Roberts received a Golden Globe for her role and also an Academy Award nomination.
6. The Proposal

Dance, music, romance, drama. This one has it all. Labelled as a low budget movie without any stars, the movie set the box office on fire. It has grossed millions in home video sales and the music has set record sales.

Claskeys’ family problems bring Mr. Clasky and Flor closer, who finds a lot more common with Flor than his wife.
15. Maid in Manhattan
Another in the tradition of Cinderella stories. Although not based on the tale, you can say it is Cinderella inspired. Marisa (Jennifer Lopez), is a single mother working as a maid in a five star Manhattan hotel. Christopher Marshall, a senatorial candidate, is also staying at the hotel.

Stars: Jennifer Lopez, Ralph Fiennes, Natasha Richardson
While trying on a designer Dolce and Gabbana creation in a guest’s room, Marshall bumps into Marissa and falls for her. He assumes her to be the guest of the hotel. Will she keep up that farce? Or will she confess and tell the truth to Marshall. This warm, romantic drama will keep you tense and hopeful.
