Although the superhero dramas have seen a bit of a downturn this year on main TV networks, fans can find a new team to cheer with DC Universe. The comic and superhero streaming service comes with Doom Patrol series on its new digital platform and introduces Dr. Niles Caulder’s recruits as they fight to save the world.

Doom Patrol comics first appeared in 1963 with Elasti Woman, Robotman, and Negative Man. The new series is created Jeremy Carver with Brendan Fraser in the lead role. The series premieres with 15 episodes on February 15 2019, in the first season.

Doom Patrol Series Plot
Doom Patrol series roots go to the 1963 DC comics and begin with Dr. Niles Caulder bringing together three meta-humans who are on the verge of losing their sense of being. Caulder gives them hopes and shows them that their accidents and unique abilities are their strengths and not a weakness. That they can use this for the good of the people and save the world from evil.
The series begins in the aftermath of the events of Titans as the four embark on a new mission. The Doom Patrol team on the mission includes Robotman or Cliff Steele who lost his body in a car wreck and was given a robotic body; Rita Farr or Elasti-Woman, who had a chemical accidental exposure that now allows her to change her size and shape as she wants; Larry Trainor or Negative Man whose interaction with radioactive energy allows him to project a negative energy from his body. Joining them is Crazy Jane, a woman who can drum up 64 different personalities, each with a different superpower.
The team faces-off with Mister Nobody and his brotherhood as they threaten the peace.
