I have waited a long time to read Notorious Nineteen, this latest one from the Stephanie Plum series. While I love the ‘between the numbers’ novels by Janet Evanovich, the ‘numbers’ books are my favorite. After wading through Number 1 to 18, the Burg feels familiar and the reader settles down to the latest action in Stephanie’s life. Of which there is not much of!

Notorious Nineteen Book Review
Stephanie gets a few cars blown up as has become her habit of late. Lula is getting smarter. Grandma Mazur has no cause to visit Stiva’s this time. Valerie and the Kloughn family do not make an appearance. Ranger’s life is on the line. Patients are disappearing overnight from the local hospital, and two of them are Stephanie’s skips. This book does have its share of interesting FTAs Stephanie and Lula chase after. And you will want to meet the interesting backseat companion they pick up. Morelli is in his usual protective role. And it is business as usual with Stephanie Plum, Bounty Hunter!
So far, I have felt that the action, madness, chemistry, murder, mayhem, raging hormones etc. has increased exponentially with each book. But it all seems to have tapered off with number nineteen. Overall, I felt Notorious Nineteen was like a watered down martini – not as potent as I would like it to be, but something I won’t turn away nevertheless. But hey, if you’re a Stephanie Plum fan like me, you don’t want to miss this one anyway.
