The Little Drummer Girl Series Plot

The Little Drummer Girl series plot revolves around a young actress Charlie. The series is set in the 70s and begins with Charlie holidaying in Greece. A fiery actress and an idealist, Charlie meets Becker who comes across mysterious and charming at the same time.

Soon, she realizes that there is more their meeting than just a chance. His acquaintance draws he into an etnagled mesh of events and actions devised by his handler and spymaster Kurt, as Charlie is pushed into a role of her lifetime – a double agent caught in a trap grappling with understanding her true loyalties.

Episode 1

A series of similarly deadly attacks targeting prominent Jewish figures across Europe have been carried out in recent weeks, and Kurtz now believes there is a Palestinian revolutionary at the heart of this pattern. Kurtz sets in motion a brilliant and elaborate plan to catch the kingpin, Khalil.

Episode 2

Charlie’s world shifts when she learns that the mysterious ‘Joseph’ is really an intelligence officer named Gadi Becker. Becker delivers Charlie to his superior Kurtz, and the wily spymaster offers her the role of a lifetime in the ‘theatre of the real’ – to infiltrate a dangerous militia cell.

Episode 3

Alone, undercover and continuing to pose as Michel’s lover, Charlie drives his red Mercedes loaded with explosives. Meanwhile, Kurtz masterfully extracts operational details about the drop-off from his prisoner, Michel.

Episode 4

In London, Kurtz’s team prepare for the next stage of the operation as Charlie waits and wonders if Michel’s people will make contact. Becker finds Charlie in a state of tortured limbo and teaches her to shoot a pistol, as Michel would have done.

Episode 5

Escorted by Helga, Charlie travels to Lebanon, where she is delivered into the hands of Michel and Khalil’s sister, Fatmeh. Fatmeh tests Charlie’s conviction to revolution, and her love for Michel, before abandoning her at a militia training camp.

Episode 6

Khalil takes Charlie to an isolated house where he builds a bomb for the planned attack on Professor Minkel, an outspoken academic. Meanwhile, Kurtz and Becker are concerned about Charlie’s state of mind and where her allegiances lie.
