Childhood is the best time of life for many. It is the time when you do not have to care about a thing and the world of fairy tales, magic, and monsters is as real as the real world. But there is a thin line between reality and fairy tales in the mind of a child and it is up to the elders to protect them from drifting away from reality. Terror in the Woods movie brings another horrific story on Lifetime this week and we continue to watch stories based in true events.

Terror in the Woods Movie Plot
Terror in the Woods movie follows 12-year-olds Rachel and Kaitlyn. Best friends and confidants, the two enjoy doing everything together. They like having sleepovers, spend time on the Internet looking up legends and scary stories and like to imagine scary monsters in the woods are real. Their favorite internet spooky story is that of the Suzerain, a clawed monster who lures children to his palace in the forest.
All this seems harmless to their parents who ignore their obsession with Suzerain. However, the girls begin to believe that the monster is real and out to kill their families. The only way to stop it? Perform a blood sacrifice as he has instructed them to do.
Determined to save their parents from Suzerain’s wrath, the two identify Emily – another 12-year-old – as their target. The use a pair of scissors to stab Emily and almost kill her. However, she survives and the police arrest the two girls.
Terror in the Woods movie then asks the question, had Kaitlyn’s parents and Rachel’s mom know about this insane obsession? Should we blame freedom of incomplete information freely available on the Internet, or is it just a mental health issue?
