Most cases of assaults and murders are solved. The killer makes some mistake or gets caught in a lie somewhere. But there are times when, no matter how suspicious the circumstances look, there is no evidence of foul play. Perhaps the murderer has managed to get away, or there just isn’t any foul play. The Girl in the Bathtub movie on Lifetime Channel brings to screen the story of Julia Law who was found dead in a Bathtub at her boyfriend’s house in 2013 summer.

Karen Moncrief writes and directs the movie that tells the story of a young girl found dead at her boyfriend’s apartment, but no one was caught in spite of foul play suspicion. The movie premieres on October 7 2018. This will be the second Lifetime movie based on a true story after last week’s Abduction of Lisa McVey.

The Girl in the Bathtub Movie Plot
The Girl in the Bathtub movie follows Julia Law and the events preceding her untimely death. Julia, a young paralegal is found dead by a maintenance worker on her 27th birthday. She was found face-down in a bathtub in her boyfriend and boss who was a prominent Philadelphia lawyer. The boss also had some mob connections from the cases he had fought for them earlier.
He was questioned by a grand jury and was under suspicion. However, the police could not find any evidence against him. It was also revealed that Julia had two other boyfriends and any of them could have a motive. Moreover, the blood alcohol level was at nearly fatal levels and could have resulted in drowning.
Or maybe, she was made to drink forcefully? Well with many questions left unanswered, the investigation concluded that there was no concrete proof. So if she was killed, who killed Julia?
