On My Skin Movie Plot
On My Skin movie is based on the true story of Cucchi’s death in custody. The film begins on the night of his arrest as he is apprehended by the police. A former drug addict struggling with rehab, the arresting officers find several packets of Hashish and a small quantity of cocaine on Cucchi. He is arrested for dealing drugs.
Already fragile, Cucchi is beaten up in prison and we see him taken from one hospital to another to get treatment after beating. A judge sends hi back to prison during his first hearing and his condition deteriorates further. Cucchi dies in custody a week later and the cause of death is ruled as because of ill health.
But his parents and sister refuse to believe that as injury marks on his body clearly state a different truth. As Stefano’s struggle ends, his family’s begins to get justice for him and bring all those involved in beating and covering up the truth to justice.
