Urban Legends die hard. And when it takes flight in a small, remote community, the dread associated with the event comes with fear and dread. Based on the classic novel by Florence Engel Randall, The Watcher in the Woods movie on Lifetime is a re-imagining of the 80s’ cult movie.

The Watcher in the Woods Movie Plot
The Watcher in the Woods movie follows Jan Carstairs and her daughters as they discover dark secrets of the Alywood manor after moving in. The Carstairs have chosen the manor hosted by Mrs. Allywood for their summer vacation. Soon, the host tells Jan that their is a striking resemblance between Jan and her daughter Karen, who went missing in the woods some 20 years ago.
Jan is warned not to go near the woods, but they soon begin to hear voices coming from the woods. With her little sister Ellie, Jan begins to notice bizarre incidents and they firmly believe that it is all related to Karen’s disappearance.
As they begin to investigate the truth of the woods and the secrets the small town is hiding for so long, they put themselves in danger and it might be too late now to escape the wather in the woods.
