Most of the series and stories based in Spain tend to go back to the times of civil war. Cocaine Coast series on Netflix takes us to the Spain of 80s. Although most of its originality and the nuances of the dialect of that part of Spain are lost in translation, the series still has enough to captivate you. Fans of Narcos will love this drug driven drama that traces the dwindling shipping business and emerging alternatives.

Cocaine Coast Series Plot
Cocaine Coast series follows the evolution of drug trafficking along the coast of Galicia in the 80s. The series is set in the Galicia of 1980s. Life is slow and simple and the weather rough on the northern Spanish coast where most locals
struggle to make a living, Sito Miñanco is one of them.
The economic turmoil and dwindling fishing business has meant that the youth have to look at other opportunities. Sito is not afraid to pick a fight with the police, or the mob boss Terito, and ready to put his life on the line to move up the food chain.
Sito’s smarts and devious mind will get him a seat at the big table, against all odds. However, while other clan members seem to be happy with status quo, Sito has found that trading cocaine is much more lucrative and begins working with the Colombian cartel.
His affair with Odalys takes him away from his family and wife, the reason he began this journey. Now a top-notch smuggler, Sito faces the wrath of his family, of grieving mothers of addicted sons and local cop Dario Costa, who will stop at nothing to bring him down.
