The intelligent and powerful women of The Bletchley Circle are back and this time they will be seen helping out the San Francisco detectives. First released on itv in 2012, the series follows four women – Susan, Millie, Jean, and Lucy – with extraordinary intelligence, skills to spot patterns and break codes. After helping the allies break Axis powers’ codes, they have been helping the Bletchley Circle police.

The Bletchley Circle – San Francisco series begins a few years after the last series. In the new series, Susan, Alice, and Lucy have moved on into new careers and are happy there. But Jean is not happy being just a librarian and nor is Millie, watching kids for aristocrats.
When the two spot a string of murders being reported across the pond, that mimic the ones that are still fresh in their minds, they decide to make the journey to the Golden City. There, they meet their old, war-time colleagues Iris and Hailey, who are equally bored of the domestic life, and decide to get to the bottom of these murders.
As they begin working with the law, they are further drawn into fascinating crimes and end up not only helping the victims, but also themselves.

Episode 1
Decoding the decade-old teletype message leads them to an underground jazz club in the heart of San Francisco, where they meet Iris — an American musician and math genius who served at the Presidio during the war. She, along
with her young engineering prodigy Hailey, is convinced to join forces with their British visitors, in 27 order to track a series of murders that have shattered the Fillmore District — a vibrant downtown neighbourhood where Iris happens to live. His twisted signature: cutting out victims’ tongues and drawing an inexplicable box on their palms.

The search for the killer terrorising the Fillmore district continues. Millie, Jean, Iris and Hailey are under pressure to work out who the killer is so they can stop them before they strike again.

As Iris struggles with husband Marcus’ imminent deployment overseas, she and the other women delve into the mysterious death of a friend – and uncover a marriage built on lies and deception.

After a seemingly innocent man is charged with murder, the women become enmeshed in a tangled suburban tragedy, racing to find both the true killer and the methods before the scent goes cold.

When a bloodied and battered stranger collapses on Millie and Jean’s doorstep, they are dragged into a world of clandestine factions designed to conceal illegal motives. As mysterious attacks escalate to land Edward in critical condition, the women race to identify the men responsible and end the violence.
