Gold Movie Music Review
2018 has given us few songs that had the melody to linger long after you walked out of the movie halls. Composing music for a sports drama like Gold is a difficult task. The composer had to capture the era as well as keep the music upbeat to capture the emotional state of the team aiming for the gold medal.
Sachin-Jigar try to do both. But it is Tanishk Bagchi’s Monnobina that captures the music trend of the times with a composition that will remind you the club music of the 60s and 70s jazz moods. However, Ghar Layege Gold fails to capture the spirit in tune as well as in words and don’t live up to the vocals of Daler Megendi whose Dangal? song was addictive as well as upbeat.
MovieRecipe Pick: Naino Ne Baandhi
MovieRecipe Verdict: Gold music compositions fail to give you the inspirational soundtracks but fail to stick or tug your heart.
