The First Purge Movie Plot
In The First Purge movie, to push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) tests a radical sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.
Now that the NFFA has taken charge of the American political landscape, change—no matter how draconian—is assuredly coming. When Dr. Updale perceives the chance for a risky and theoretical experiment to become an actual one, the Architect of The Purge itself finds a shot at lasting legacy for the country she claims to so love.
Once Dmitri learns that his hometown of Staten Island has been selected for a monumental cultural study that will forever change the way citizens experience their government and one another, he is naturally suspicious of the intent and purpose.
Willing to do whatever it takes to save those he loves in his “test city” — including community activist Nya and her younger brother, Isaiah — they will take to the streets to protect their people, and what’s left of their country’s humanity, at all costs.
