Secret City Series Plot
Secrets City series takes you behind the placid water and focuses light on the highly turbulent events happening all around. The series begins with a woman immolating herself in Beijing for Tibet’s freedom. Siz months later we find a university student swallowing a sim card, who later wounds up dead on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, his stomach cut.
China and the US are jostling for supremacy in the South China Sea and a pro-china Australian politician is refusing to endorse war games with the US in the area. How are all these events connected?
Amidst rising tension between China and America, Canberra press gallery journalist Harriet Dunkley (Anna Torv) forces her way closer to the truth, uncovering a secret city of interlocked conspiracies which will threaten her career, her life and endangers the freedom of every Australian.
