After a few thrillers and dystopian adventure series AMC brings a comedy drama that holds a mirror to our society, but in a humorous and witty presentation. Dietland TV Show Plot
It is the new millennium and most of the problems and biases that women faced in the last century – mysogyny, rape culture, and unrealistic beauty standards – have only grown stronger.
Dietland TV Show follows Plum Kettle, a ghost writer for a New York fashion magazine. Plum is a talented writer and has number of fans who write to her every day. However, she struggles with self-image and sets out on a wildly complicated road to self-acceptance.
On her journey she discovers a secret women’d club that supports and encourages women to live life on their own terms. At the same time, everyone is buzzing over news reports about men, accused of sexual abuse and assault, who are disappearing and meeting untimely, violent deaths.
On the path to reclaim her life, Plums crosses paths with this radical group that threatens to involve her in something far more sinister that she signed up for.

Dietland TV Show begins on an interesting note and intricately weaves different topics in an interesting narrative. They all revolve around women, some objectified, some ignores, and some burdened with unrealistic expectations. Although a bit different than your usual stuff, the series has enough humor to make you laugh and enough suspense to bring you back to the story.
