Picnic at Hanging Rock Series Plot
Picnic at Hanging Rock series follows three students of a strict women’s college in Australia in the 90s. The series begins with introduceing her to the school headmistress Mrs Appleyard who seems to have a sketchy past. Pittes against her are our rebellious heroines, who celebrate their victories against the Appleyard college staff.
But their recalcitrant behaviour comes to a head when the school is out for a picnic at Hanging Rock – a maze of jutting rocks. Not heading the strict instructions, Miranda leads her friends and one of the teachers away form the group to explore the maze. However, it turns into a nightmare as all them disappear in the maze.
Edith later returns but is clueless about what happened at the time and where the other three members of the group are. Interpersonal dynamics, romance, and dark histories all make an appearance in the mini series with a sprinkling of supernatural possibilities.
