In 2003, a local pizza delivery man named Brian Wells entered a bank in Erie, Pennsylvania, and attempted to rob $250,000. After walking out, a device that had been locked around his neck exploded. One month later, a body is found in a freezer near a site related to the bank heist.
But still the case goes cold. Years later, as the FBI investigates, and State Police and the ATF weigh in, a woman named Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong emerges as a suspect. But “Marge,” as she was known, was a complicated figure: A once-promising intellect and captivating town beauty, she had devolved into hoarding and was grappling with mental illness.
