Beer lovers just need a reason to taste some new beers or hang out with friends and down a few mugs of the golden nectar. It is that time again. Time for Oktoberfest.
Oktoberfest is a festival celebrated in Bavaria, Germany which attracts thousands from across the world. This year, the 181st is celebrated from September 19th through 4th October. The hundreds of tent have beer on sale for the visitors and present a festive, party atmosphere wherever you go. All the beer you will get here still adheres to the strict, century old brewing standards.
Well, we can’t all be in Germany. But you can always drive to the local Hard Rock Cafe. HRC India is celebrating the age old Beer festival from 28th September to 8th November in all its locations in India.
The special Rocktoberfest menu has some exciting new beer based cocktails, a completely new range of international beers you will want to try, and some craft beers from local breweries that is offered only in Pune and Mumbai.
The new beer spread boasts Amstel form Amsterdam and Moretti from Italy. You will also see the craft beer that is available year round from TJ Breweries. The wheat and barley brew with Coriander has an intense earthy flavor that will immediately transport you onto a grass field.
The Devil’s Dark Brew is a must try for beer lovers who haven’t yet dabbled in craft beers.
Hard Rock Cafe India has also come up with an eclectic fusion menu to celebrate the 2015 Oktoberfest. It is all about Burgers and Sausages at the Rocktoberfest. But not necessarily in that form.
If you are planning to have your own little Oktoberfest with a few friends, load on the beer and start off with the Carnival Fiesta. The new mouthwatering Cajun spiced crispy fries topped with Sausages and pulled chicken make an awesome snack to share and dig into.
For the those who like to stick to originals, the menu has the classic mustard and Jalepeno relish topped Windy City Subroll But if you like to mix things up, I would suggest to go for the Jamaican Hotty Submarine.
The smoked chicken sausage topped with caramelized onions makes a zesty roll. The Jamaican seasoning is slightly heavy on the pepper and will be an excellent choice if you love the heat.
There aren’t too many places that can boast of a juicy chicken burger, in Pune. So if the thought of a juicy dripping burger excites you, go for the Mexi Cali Burger on the special Rocktoberfest menu.
You will love the slightly chunky chicken patty along with the Honey Citrus Mayo as you bite into the crisp lettuce. Dip the spicy fries in the Salsa to heighten the Mexican flavor.
When its Hard Rock Cafe, you can always expect some good music. They have a lot of shows and themes planned out for October. The Kansas based Pudlle of Mudd is performing live on September 30 in Pune.
Hard Rock Cafe is also going Retro this month. They plan to start with the 60s on the first Wednesday and move up a decade every Wednesday through the month. So you might identify with Marty from Back To The Future if you step in on a Wednesday and see the staff dressed up in the Retro attire.
