LOTD Ambience
Although the place is much lively and happening in the evenings, the dark interiors are a welcome sight with summer round the corner. Spacious with lush leather booths and some high tables, the restaurant offers a mix of seating. The 60 feet bar gets transformed on Sunday mornings with a range of starters and salads for the big brunch.
The tables are well spaced and you can choose a quiet corner with your party in privacy. For evening visitors, LOTD also offers the option of outdoor seating on the roof top. White Wicker furniture and a view of the area makes it a great place to shoot the breeze with your buddies. A separate bar at this place makes sure you stay hydrated without any delays.
LOTD Sunday Brunch
The Sunday Brunch at LOTD Pune offers a number of choices for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians. The multi-cuisine spread includes different breads and Mediterranean Mezze spread. The Hummus covered with olive oil and its garlicy flavor works best with the Lavash bread.
You also have a choice of Muhammra, which is not a regular appearance on the restaurant menus in Pune. However, my favorite Baba Ghanoush seemed to lack any flavor of roasted eggplant and was a bit of a disappointment.
For those who love and can’t do without their salads, the spread offers some pre-mixed salads and also pickled olives, cheeses, crackers and more to make your own. With dry fruits and nuts, you can also add a crunch to your salads.
The cold spread on the buffet is something to explore with everything from Terrine to dry fruits to cheese platter on display.
LOTD Sunday Brunch Starters
Apart from the huge offerings on the bar, diners also get some starters served at their table. With nine veg and seven non-veg starters, we are sure you will not have the place to repeat any. The Barbecue Spinach Dhokla satisfies the craving for Indian chaat in you with a twist of BBQ sauce.
The long starters list too combines multiple cuisines so you can go with some mini Falafel rolls or try the Indian Dahi kebabs and Achari Cottage Cheese.
LOTD Sunday Brunch Main Course
Like Starters, the main course too will not disappoint you either. With Fish and Lamb curries along with veggie options like Paneer Lababdar, you can enjoy the full Indian meal. The main course also offers some continental options like Lasagna and Chicken Caccitore that we plan to try the next time.
No meal can be complete without a dessert and the restaurant carries forward the multi-cuisine tag here too. In addition to the usual brownies, you have the Hyderabadi delicacy Shahi Tukda and some Blueberry French Toast on the menu. And if you have it on the spread on the day of your visit, do not miss the delicious Tiramisu.
