Altered Carbon TV Show Plot
Set in the future, Altered Carbon TV show follows an elite soldier Kovac, who has been in the freeze for some time. When a Meth named Bancroft dies of apparent suicide and is later transferred to a new sleeve, he hires Kovac to find out how he died. Kovac belongs to a interstellar corp that is equipped with enhanced chem therapy that makes their five senses strong and gives them combat muscle memory to be fight ready.
Meth are the rich and powerful who can afford to keep living and get new sleeves for an endless time,which most population cannot afford to. With memories stored in stacks and in the cloud, Bancroft has lived through different sleeves or body shells over the years. However, his memories are backed up only once in two days.
The last backup was at least 48 hours before his death and he has no recollection of that time. However, he is convinced that he was murdered and wants Kovac to find out who his killer is.
