In the first season we were introduced to a Brooklyn pot dealer who delivers to clients with neuroses as diverse as the city. Simply known as “The Guy,” the friendly pot dealer clients include an eccentric group of characters, revealing the dynamics of their lives. From the unexpected and offbeat to the predictable and mundane, the series provided a glimpse into the daily routines of the customers and how they light things up.
High Maintenance Season 2 introduces new customers and revisits familiar ones. A comedy of human interaction, the new season delves deeper into the contemporary anxieties New Yorkers are experiencing, from political tension to soaring real estate prices, while emphasizing the importance of savoring the highs of life in this increasingly volatile world. Pulling back the curtain on The Guy’s personal life, the second season reveals a few more people and details of what happens when he’s not on the clock.
