One of the most successful designers in the fashion world was shot and killed in 1997 in Miami. American Crime Story 2 – The Assasination of Gianni Vesace is as much about Andrew Cunanan as it is about Versace. Based on the book by Maureen Orth, the new installment of the anthology series focuses on events leading up the murder on the fateful morning in July.
While the first installment was about the trial, the second season of The American Crime Story is more of a thriller. We get to see different sides of Gianni Versace and his relationships. We also get to peek inside the killer’s life as he gets on a killing spree starting in Minneapolis in April.
Andrew Cunanan was a bright student with and IQ of more than 140 with a huge potential to be as successful as perhaps Versace. We might never know what led him to kill Versace on that day or any of his victims leading up to that day.
