There are never enough movies. And when you are in the mood for that one Hindi thriller movie that will keep you glued to the screen and make you forget everything that is bugging you, you can’t find any. Thankfully, you don’t need to plan ahead anymore to watch a movie or depend on your cable network for the adrenaline fix. You can get your dose of Bollywood thrillers whenever you want at a moment’s notice.
Psychological Bollywood Thrillers
Anxiety and anticipation are key to making a hit thriller movie that will hold the audience in rapt attention. I think these Hindi movie gems will capture your attention as they did mine.
Dastak
Starring Sushmita Sen and Sharad Kapoor, Dastak creates intense tension as Sharad Sule (Sharad kapoor) obsesses over Sushmita Sen – Miss Universe. He abducts Sushmita Sen and takes her to a remote island, where she tries every possible trick to get out of captivity. The film didn’t do well at the box office, but it was engrossing and engaging with a good soundtrack.

Darr
Most of you must have seen this one at least once. Shahrukh khan plays a negative role in this one as he obsesses over Kiran (Juhi Chawla). Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) stalks Kiran and tries to convince her of his love. But when Kiran does not reciprocate his sentiments, Rahul takes to violence and tries to kill Sunil (Sunny Deol) to whom Kiran is engaged.
Perhas one of the first and best stalker movies that you will see in Bollywood, Darr is a must-watch.
Kahaani
Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan) is desperate. Desperate to know the whereabouts of her husband who has gone missing in Kolkata. She travels to Kolkata from London and begins her search for her husband who she believes is employed by NDC. Only to realize that he was never employed by them.
With many twists and turns and an intensity that never lets up, Vidya Baghci is sucked into something much bigger than she had ever imagined. Outstanding performances by all actors and excellent cinematography transport you on the streets of Kolakata as you will begin the search for Vidya’s husband.
Karthik Calling Karthik
This is another psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge. Karthik (Farhan Akhtar) is a shy guy who is in love with Shonali (Deepika padukone), the only problem is she doesn’t know he exists. Desperate and feeling lost, Karthik decides to commit suicide. But just in time he receives a call from mysterious caller who brings him back from the brink.
The calls keep coming everyday and advise him on how to turn around his life – and it works! Until one day, Karthik upsets the caller, who is now out to get him and kill him.
Sangharsh (Full Movie)
Sangharsh is a crime thriller starring Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, and Ashutosh Rana. Perplexed by series of kidnappings and murders, the police hand over the case to CBI who designate trainee officer Reet Oberoi (Preity Zinta) to solve the case.

Gokul Pandit (Ashutosh Rana) is on the lose and kills and rapes women for fun. Sonia Sehgal becomes the latest victim of this sadistic killer and is caught. But when he manages to get out with a false testimony, Sonia’s sister Naina becomes his next target.

Khamosh (Full Movie)
A film unit travels to picturesque Pahalgam in the the kashmir valley for a film shoot. But withing days, the lead actress commits suicide. Just when the police are about to shut the case, a man claiming to be a special investigation officer comes and claims that the suicide is a murder.

With support from a fellow actress, he convinces the police that it was indeed a murder. Which is confirmed when a couple of others from the film unit are murdered.
Agni Sakshi (Full Movie)
Two and half hours of intense drama and twists and turns will keep you engaged. Nana Patekar plays the role of a jilted husband who has been tricked and is now on the trail of his wife, who is supposedly dead.

Shubhangi (Manish Koirala) and Suraj (Jakie Shroff) are a happily married couple. There married life is shattered when Vishwanath (Nana Patekar) claims that Shubhangi is in fact Madhu, his wife. And so begins the game of cat and mouse as Vishwanath decides to prove that Shubhangi is his wife.
Road (Full Movie)
An eccentric group of characters are waiting to thrill you to the core here. Arvind (Vivek Oberoi) and Lakhsmi (Antara Mali) are in love and elope to get married. On their way to Jodhpur, they are attacked by a violent nomad. They escape the attack and allow a smooth talking hitchhiker Babu (Manoj Bajpayee) to get into their car.

Only, Babu is psychopathic killer on the lose and so begins a thrilling ride on the Delhi-Jodhpur highway as Arvind and Lakshimi struggle to lose Babu and be free of him.
